Even picky eaters won't pick out the "green stuff" in this casserole!

Baked Hamburger Pasta Casserole
Qty Unit of Measure Ingredient
4 cups your favorite spagetti sauce
reserve 1/4 to 1/2 cup for the burgers
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 lbs. ground beef or turkey
1 bunch fresh broccoli or one pkg.
frozen cut into florets
1 16 oz. box pasta, rotelle, spiral, fusilli
or your own preference
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. In a medium bowl, combine reserve sauce, salt ,pepper, and meat. Mix lightly to blend well, shape into 8 patties
  3. In large skillet saut'e over medium heat until they are to your liking For medium burgers, cook approx 4 minutes on each side
  4. Steam or boil the broccoli until fork tender, about 3 to 4 minutes
  5. Boil pasta according to directions on box, drain well
  6. Heat remaining spagetti sauce until just bubbling
  7. Arrange the burgers, broccoli, and pasta in alternating layers in a large casserole dish or pan, sprinkle with parmesan cheese Bake until hot and bubbling, approx 20 to 25 minutes
